Who we are
InsightTrail is operated by InsightTrail (insighttrail.app). We provide AI-generated coaching briefs based on wearable and self-reported data. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at hello@insighttrail.app.
What we collect
Depending on how you use InsightTrail, we may collect:
- Wearable data from Garmin Connect and Oura – including heart rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep metrics, Body Battery, readiness scores, activity data, and related health signals – when you authorise the connection
- Check-in responses you submit, such as energy, mood, and physical readiness slider values
- Your email address and optional name if you join the waitlist or create an account
- Basic usage data such as page visits and interactions, collected via standard analytics tools
How we use your data
We use your data to:
- Generate your personalised coaching briefs
- Identify patterns in your data over time to improve coaching relevance
- Contact you about your waitlist place, account, or service updates
We do not sell, share, or rent your personal data to third parties. Your wearable data is used only to generate your brief and is not used for advertising or profiling purposes.
Data storage and retention
Your data is stored securely. Wearable data is retained only as long as necessary to deliver the service. Waitlist data is held until you ask us to remove it or until the service launches, whichever comes first.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
Third-party services
InsightTrail connects to the following third-party services. Their use of your data is governed by their own privacy policies:
- Garmin Connect – wearable data source
- Oura – wearable data source
- Brevo – waitlist email management
- Anthropic – AI model used to generate coaching briefs
InsightTrail is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Garmin Ltd. or Oura.
Coaching briefs are generated via Anthropic’s API. Only the data necessary to produce your brief is transmitted. API inputs and outputs are not used by Anthropic for model training and are deleted from their systems within 7 days.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@insighttrail.app. We will respond within 30 days.
You may also disconnect your Garmin or Oura account at any time through the respective platform’s settings, which will stop any further data being shared with InsightTrail.
You can request deletion of your InsightTrail data at any time — including all Garmin data, all Oura data, or your account entirely — by emailing hello@insighttrail.app or using the data and account deletion options within the InsightTrail portal.
Coaching disclaimer
InsightTrail coaching briefs are informational only and do not constitute medical, clinical, or training advice. Data interpretation may not reflect your actual physical state. Do not make health or training decisions based solely on InsightTrail output. Consult a qualified professional before making changes to your health or training routine.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Significant changes will be communicated to registered users by email.
